Fibrelite Composite Trench Covers for Fuel Transfer Systems.

Fibrelite composite trench covers deliver a reliable, corrosion-resistant solution for forecourt technology and fuel transfer systems. Manufactured in the UK since 1997, each cover is specified by load class and bespoke-fabricated to the exact trench width and length on site.

This approach ensures engineering accuracy, minimizes operational downtime, and supports long-term reliability in demanding petroleum equipment UK applications.

Key Features:

  • Load-Class Specification. Available in classes A15 through F900 to suit pedestrian walkways, car parks, carriageways, docks and aircraft pavements.
  • Composite Construction. Lightweight, non-conductive and chemical-resistant materials prevent corrosion around petrol pipework and tank chambers.
  • Bespoke Manufacturing. CNC-controlled production guarantees a precise fit, simplifies installation and maintains environmental compliance.
  • Safety & Compliance. Designed to meet or exceed EN 124 standards, supporting forecourt safety and sustainability objectives.
  • Integration Ready. Compatible with ventilation systems, misfuel prevention (Midas) devices, industrial signs and labels, and cross-drop protection (Midas Elbow).

Aplications:

Ideal for retail fuel forecourts, logistics hubs and industrial sites, Fibrelite composite covers protect buried fuel lines, tank ventilation points and ancillary pipework without compromising surface durability or accessibility. Their proven performance under high wheel loads and resistance to petrol, diesel and lubricants make them a trusted component of sustainable fuel infrastructure.

Where they earn their keep on a fuel site:

Pipework trenches: Open a section, inspect the line, close it again. Covers can be moulded around pipe entries and vents. Cable and power ducts: Non-metallic and non-conductive, so the cover will not spark. Cable ports and inspection hatches can be built in. Drains and channels: Unaffected by water, underground gases and most chemicals, with rain-tight options where the trench has to stay dry.

Made to fit your trench

Standard widths run from 300 mm to 1,000 mm, lengths from 600 mm to 1,800 mm or 2,000 mm, and depths from 50 mm to 203.2 mm. Anything outside that can be made to order:
  • Almost any RAL colour, UV stable.
  • Logos and service markings moulded into the surface.
  • Locks and restraining bolts.
  • Standard, low-profile, or smooth tread.
  • Hand holes, inspection ports, and pipe and cable entries.
  • Rain-tight versions with a gasketed frame or sealant.
  • Double covers spanning two parallel trenches.
  • Aluminum or GRP frames.

Replacing old covers?

Fibrelite covers drop into a new aluminium or GRP frame, or straight into the rebate that is already there. Where the existing rebate is shallow, the cover can be moulded with a stepped profile to suit.

For new frames, Fibrelite's epoxy installation system cures to take traffic in two to three hours, so the site is not shut for days.

A trench cover is only as good as its installation, so every order is backed by Fibrelite's dimensional drawings and installation instructions.
