Scaling RFID-Based Safeguards Across a Retail Network
Midas Elbow anti cross-drop technology takes Texas - (Circle K, Dallas USA).
Client
As part of its
strategic investment in safety and delivery precision, Circle K, one of North
America’s largest retail fuel networks, partnered with Berrys Technologies to
implement a scalable, RFID-based misfuel prevention system across its
operations in Texas.
Berrys
deployed its proven Midas Elbow technology,
an anti-cross-drop solution that prevents incorrect product delivery during fill. Central to the system is the use of RFID tags, installed at each
tank fill point to ensure that only the correct fuel grade is dispensed into
the corresponding tank.
To support
this international rollout, Berrys’ team undertook a 30-hour round trip from the UK to Dallas,
delivering both on-site training and technical installations across the Circle
K forecourt network. More than 500 RFID tags
were fitted during deployment, each individually coded to match specific tank and fuel-type parameters.
This large-scale project delivered measurable improvements in operational safety and compliance:
Elimination of cross-drop risks, enhancing product integrity and site safety
Efficient, automated verification reduces human error during fuel delivery
Seamless integration into existing forecourt infrastructure, with minimal disruption
By enabling a
robust and replicable safety system across the Circle K estate, this project
showcases Berrys Technologies global capability
to deliver innovative, fuel-specific RFID safeguards at scale backed by deep
engineering expertise and decades of industry leadership.
