In an effort to enhance operational safety across its nationwide fuel distribution network, Enix, one of Chile’s largest fuel logistics companies, partnered with Berrys Technologies to deploy the Mobile Midas Elbow, a portable solution for preventing misfuel.

Operating under a logistics contract with Shell Chile, Enix prioritised eliminating cross-drops to reduce contamination risks and associated costs. The Midas Elbow, developed by Berrys, offers a mobile, trailer-mounted safeguard that verifies fuel type compatibility before offloading begins. Its portable nature makes it ideal for dynamic logistics environments with varying site configurations and fuel grades.

Key benefits realised through the deployment include:

Significant reduction in contamination risk, protecting product integrity.

Minimised operational costs from mis-delivery incidents.

Scalable protection, adaptable to multiple forecourt and depot scenarios.

By equipping its fuel delivery trailers with the Mobile Midas system, Enix has proactively raised the safety standard across Shell’s Chilean network, reinforcing its commitment to quality, while leveraging Berrys Technologies’ innovation in misfuel prevention.

This project further validates Berrys ability to deliver portable, intelligent infrastructure solutions at a global scale, tailored to meet the unique demands of international fuel distribution markets.
